We have been studying about Christopher Columbus this week. We have talked about how he believed that the world was round when others thought it was flat. We learned that he wanted to sail to new lands, look for treasures and tell others about Jesus, but he had a BIG problem! He did not have a ship and no money to buy one; so he went to the King and Queen of Spain and asked if they would provide him a ship and money for his expedition. They agreed to help and gave Christopher enough for, not one ship, but three! He set sail with the Nina, Pinta and the Santa Maria……..isn’t God good?

The story ends with God leading Christopher and his men across the ocean to lands, treasure and an opportunity to share the gospel with others.

We invited our friends in Miss Connie’s class to join us for a Columbus Day treat. It was so much fun! Many had never had Jello before……..it really jiggles on the spoon!
